The Trex Hideaway® Universal Hidden Fastener Clip System is made specifically for grooved decking, seamlessly fitting into the groove and simply screwing into the joist. Trex Hideaway® Color-Match Screws and Trex Hideaway® Plugs are the perfect match for square edge decking with patented precision and reliability, without the fear of mushrooming or color stripping.
Trex square edge decking boards are used for stair treads, most commonly two boards deep, and are installed with Trex Hideaway® Color-Match Screws or Trex Hideaway® Deck Plugs. Risers, fascia, and stringers are comprised of fascia boards.

For steel substructures we offer Trex Hideaway® Hidden Fastener Steel Clips, which are only compatible with grooved deck boards.

A butt joint (also known as a butt seam) is when two deck boards meet end to end over a single joist. The new Trex Hideaway® Butt Joint Clip fastens a board directly over a butt joint, reducing labor and materials previously needed to fasten a butt joint securely.
