“When I’m designing a space, I always think of feeling first. When envisioning an outdoor space inspired by Bryce Canyon, my mind immediately goes to that feeling - when you unzip your tent and emerge out into the crisp, cool air and then you get started on the ritual of making the morning coffee. For years, Trex and REI Co-op have worked together to recycle plastic film waste to create Trex’s eco-friendly, long-lasting and beautiful outdoor product made from recycled materials. So when it came time to expand the REI Signature Camp at Bryce Canyon, it was only natural that we worked together to create an eco-conscious and sustainable building design that nurtures nature right back.
