From frosted tips and flip phones to flash mobs and fidget spinners, the last 30 years have seen lots of trends, fads, and gimmicks come and go. Trex isn't one of them.

Our history of innovation began when one of our founders, Roger Wittenberg, transformed leftover plastic and sawdust into the early form of composite known as Rivenite. As the recycling movement evolved, so did our products. We transitioned from Rivenite to Timberex to Trex, becoming a household name known for both quality and cutting-edge inventions.

Today, we continue to push ourselves to create the best outdoor products possible for our customers without sacrificing the values that Trex was built on. With sustainability, innovation, and trustworthiness at our core, we've expanded our product lines beyond just the composite decking known around the world to provide homeowners with a complete product catalog that meets their growing needs.

Award-Winning for a Reason

We don't innovate for the accolades. But the acclaim we receive from our customers and industry speaks for itself. Whether it be recognition as one of the most sustainable companies in the U.S. or as leaders in design excellence, we set ourselves apart by keeping our standards high.
