Welcome to one of the coolest outdoor living spaces built with Trex materials. Finn took us on a tour of his ultimate outdoor hangout spot. Let's jump in.
Looking to create a place where friends, family and dogs can relax, Finn recruited his older brother to design a treehouse. As a full-time architect, Liam gladly accepted the challenge.
Once Finn gave the design a thumbs up, he and his father got to work building the structure. After nearly two years, Finn's dream tree house was complete.
At first glance, it is clear that this tree house is any pre-teen's dream, but let's dive into some details that make this place unique.
This woodland retreat offers two entrances. A traditional staircase provides easy access for the family dog. For those with an adventurous streak (and opposable thumbs), the back side of the tree house features a rock climbing wall that offers a second entry option.
The tree house design uses clever features to protect the space from the elements. Built with Trex® decking, the flooring, stairs, and rock wall won't rot, warp, or splinter like it would have if they had used wood. As a bonus, Trex decking is fade- and- stain-resistant making it a low-maintenance option for the family. Lastly, a sloped roof shields Finn and his friends from rainy days and the scorching Virginia sun.
Completing the space are the three S's: seating, shelves, and storage. These final touches make this space both fun and functional.
This feat in outdoor living is now home to some of Finn's favorite afternoons shared with friends, family and, of course, his dog. To learn more about this tree house project, Finn welcomes you to take a tour in the video below!
