What do you tell customers who are torn between wood and composite?
Wood has chemicals in it, it splinters and rots over time and requires maintenance. Trex is made from recycled wood and plastics, is warrantied against warping, twisting, splintering, cracking and rotting for 25 years, and cleans with just soap and a garden hose. Besides adding curb appeal, Trex adds value to your home when you go and sell it.

Most popular deck shape?
By far, curves.

Generally speaking, what are your customers looking for when it comes to an outdoor living area?
Our clients are seeking open, flowing concepts with curb appeal. This includes features like curved steps, low-voltage lighting, screened-in porches, a built-in grill and fire features.

What’s your favorite Trex product other than decking?
Trex RainEscape gutter system. You gain an entire dry, shaded living space below your deck by installing this in the deck frame. It’s a bonus space to home with a walkout basement.
