What decking products are compatible with glass railings?

Composite, PVC, aluminum, and wood decking are all excellent choices to pair with glass railings, as they offer the right structural support and aesthetic compatibility. The choice of decking material should depend on your budget, desired look, and long-term maintenance preferences.

How much does glass railing cost?

Trex offers 2 types of Glass railing, our X-Series Frameless Glass, which is approximately $200-250/LF and our Trex Signature Glass Railings which is approximately $80-100/LF.

Are glass deck railings hard to keep clean?

Glass deck railings are relatively easy to maintain, requiring just a bit of routine cleaning to keep them looking clear and bright. The primary task is keeping them free of dust, dirt, and water spots, which can be easily managed with basic cleaning products. Compared to wood railings, which need regular sealing and refinishing, glass railings offer a low-maintenance solution that enhances the aesthetic appeal of your deck without much effort.

What are the specifications for the glass I need to use in my railings?

For the Trex Signature X-Series Frameless Glass railing, use 1/2” laminated glass.
For the Trex Signature Aluminum glass railing, use 1/4” tempered glass.
